David Bronson recently released his third album Questions (Big Arc Records). The record has been hailed by fans and press alike as one of the best albums to emerge in 2015, and as a momentous artistic step from an up-and-coming talent who has been called “one of the most heartfelt and emotionally raw new artists in music” (Guitar World). The singer-songwriter, who has called New York City his home for his entire adult life, teamed up with veteran producer Godfrey Diamond (Lou Reed, Etta James, Aerosmith) and longtime David Bowie collaborators Carlos Alomar and Robin Clark to create a soul-drenched paean to the uncertainties of burgeoning adulthood. It’s a deceptively fluid amalgam of soul, gospel, folk, and dance-funk grafted on to the classic 70’s-infused singer-songwriting Bronson has become known for.
The evening will include the world premiere of an original short film showing the story of the album’s creation, in addition to a full set with David and the Questions band. The event will be hosted by NYC-based journalist and music historian Christian John Wikane.
