Show at 7:30PM

"Migguel Anggelo thrills audiences with his bold voice, winning smile, swiveling hips, and radiant charm.” –Broadway World

Migguel Anggelo returns to Joe’s Pub with his new show Between Dreams / Entre Sueños, a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of vocal theatrics, movement, and dramatic storytelling. Backed by a virtuosic band and singers, Migguel personifies larger-than-life characters, drawing parallels between their passions and struggles, their yearnings to be seen and heard, and his own desires and dreams.

From the pain and triumphs of Frida Kahlo to the frenzied urgency of a homeless woman from Miami Beach, Migguel paints the stories of these dreamers through his original compositions and reinterpretations of Latin, folk, pop, and opera works. On his canvas, a beautifully textured landscape emerges that is at once reality AND fantasy: a place between dreams.

Migguel Anggelo is a Brooklyn-based, dynamic singer and dancer known for his electric stage performances. Anggelo cut his teeth in the worlds of musical theater and opera and brings his larger-than-life emotions to this intimate performance.

Migguel's most recent project, the forthcoming album La Casa Azul, produced by Mau Quiros and mixed by Grammy winner Felipe Tichauer, will be released in 2015.

Migguel Anggelo is a Venezuelan singer who decided to become a musician when he first saw Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music and just like that movie, if you look under the surface, you will find some deftly stated political themes.” –Soundcheck (NPR)

"Migguel Anggelo is one of those real artists who aren't driven by money, ladder climbing or trends, but are focused on their unique visions regardless of what the world thinks. These people create simply because they have to." –The Huffington Post
