Look inside The New York Times Arts & Leisure Fall Preview

Joe's Pub

August 17

Doors at 3PM
Show at 3:30PM

Join us for this celebration of the fall season, with performances from Fall 2018 theater productions and a conversation with Times Arts journalists: Lorne Manly, interim editor of Arts & Leisure, critic at large Wesley Morris, co-chief theater critic Ben Brantley and TV critic for the Times’s Watching site Margaret Lyons. They’ll take you inside the special Fall Preview section of the Sunday Times Arts & Leisure, one of the most eagerly anticipated publications on the fall arts season every year. Then enjoy a sneak preview. Performances will include a song from “Girl From the North Country” by Conor McPherson, named “one of the greatest playwrights working today” by Ben Brantley, with music by Bob Dylan. And Tony Award-winner Beth Leavel will perform “The Lady’s Improving,” from the Broadway-bound musical, “The Prom,” accompanied by the show’s Tony-nominated composer, Matthew Sklar at the piano.

Aisha Harris, senior staff editor, Culture, will host as you get a taste of what’s coming up in theater, movies, TV, music, dance, art and more.
