Violinist Alicia Svigals is the world’s foremost klezmer fiddler and a founder of the Grammy-winning Klezmatics, who has collaborated with artists ranging from Itzhak Perlman to Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant and Jimmy Page. Uli Geissendoerfer is a Grammy–nominated jazz and world music pianist and composer. In their Beregovski Suite, Svigals and Geissendoerfer perform new arrangements of long-lost klezmer melodies collected before the Holocaust by heroic Soviet Jewish ethnomusicologist Moshe Beregovski. The Beregovski Suite evokes the lost world that gave those melodies birth, and reimagines them for the 21st century. "Alicia Svigals....spiraled the music into stratospheric realms unimagined in the music's original homeland"... -The Austin-American Statesman.
