Singer Kendall Thomas makes his Joe’s Pub debut in "I Hear Music: Jazz on a Sunday Afternoon" with pianist Emmet Cohen and the Emmet Cohen Quintet. Kendall’s last New York appearance was a three-show stint at New York’s historic Algonquin Hotel, in the late, legendary Oak Room.
Kendall has been singing and playing keyboards since he was four years old. Kendall’s vocal stylings reflect his roots in the African-American gospel and blues traditions he learned as a child, refracted through the jazz, classical, pop, rock, R & B, folk, cabaret and world musics he's studied and performed for almost five decades. When he is not making music, Kendall Thomas can be found making ideas at New York’s Columbia University, where he is the Nash Professor of Law.
